Tax time is stressful for so many people – it certainly was for me for many years! Tax laws change every year, forms are confusing, audits are scary, and I certainly didn’t want to pay more than the minimum amount required. So I did something about it – I studied tax laws and learned all I could about tax preparation. Now tax time is no longer stressful and I am taking advantage of all the deductions and credits that I am entitled to.

The first step is a conversation about your personal tax situation. How much you pay in taxes depends on so many of your life circumstances, so I will have some questions for you and then I will listen to your unique situation to make sure all the bases are covered. 

Then I will ask you to gather some documents to support your situation. Some you are familiar with, like a W2 from your employer. Others may be new to you – such as a 1098 if this is your first year as a homeowner, or a a 1098-E if you are starting to pay off your student loans. 

Then I go to work plugging the numbers into all the forms and you, well, you just relax at this point. 

After I get all the forms completed I will present them to you for your review and we can talk through all of them at whatever level of detail you are comfortable with. Then you sign the tax return electronically and I will e-file it for you.
